The winners of the final pitch were the following start-ups: AVILOO from Vienna, Kopernikus from Berlin, NAVENTIK from Chemnitz, Visualix from Berlin, home-IX UG from Stuttgart and LiGenium from Chemnitz.

Seat plans to achieve a 60% reduction in production waste by 2025

Seat has announced that it is focussing its environmental improvement actions this year on reducing waste. Over the past 8 years, Seat has managed to generate 34% less waste in its facilities, and in the next few months is going to implement measures designed to reduce production waste by up to 60% in the next six years.

BMW lays down its near term electrification plan

The BMW Group, a pioneer in electromobility, is rapidly expanding its range of electrified vehicles. Within two years, the company will offer five fully-electric series-production vehicles: Alongside the BMW i3, with more than 150,000 units built to date, this year will see the start of production of the fully electric Mini at Plant Oxford (UK). This will be followed in 2020 by the fully-electric BMW iX3 from Shenyang (China) and in 2021 by the BMW iNext, which will be produced in Dingolfing (Germany), and the BMW i4 from Plant Munich (Germany).
