Mercedes-Benz reveals the pricing and specifications of the all-new GLA

The new GLA, the eighth model to join the line-up, rounds off the current compact car generation from Mercedes-Benz.

At the time of its launch, starting in spring 2020, three petrol and four diesel models will be available. A plug-in hybrid will follow shortly afterwards. Prices start at 37,270.80 ($40,625) for the GLA 200.

The GLA 200 will feature a 1332cc petrol engine producing 120/163 kW/hp power and a peak torque of 250 Nm at 1620-4000 rpm. This engine will be mated to a 7G-DCT automatic transmission. The GLA 250 will sport at 1991 cc engine producing 165/224 kW/hp and a peak torque of 350 Nm between 1800-4000 rpm. This variant will be mated to a 8G-DCT automatic transmission and also get a 4MATIC version.

The GLA 200 d and the GLA 220 d will feature the same 1951 cc engine. However, the GLA 200 d has a power output of 110/150 kW/hp and a peak torque of 320 Nm between 1400-3200 rpm, while the GLA 220 d produces 140/190 kW/hp and a torque of 400 Nm between 1600-2600 rpm. Both the models feature a 8G-DCT automatic transmission and have a 4MATIC version.
